Beatrice I. Raether; age 71 of Stanley passed away on Friday, June 4th, 2010. Beatrice Irene,
(Berg) Raether was born March 30th, 1939 in Ruby, WI to the late Elmer and Hazel (Olson) Berg.
As a young girl she lived in the Boyd, Stanley, and the Gilman area.
On May 25th, 1959; she married Laverne Raether in Rantoul, Illinois. They traveled around the
world as Laverne served in the air force for 20 years.
Beatrice loved her flowers, and gardening. She Loved riding horse with her friend; Evelyn. She
Loved watching Little House on the Prairie. Even when she was in the hospital she would watch it
just about every night. Beatrice liked anything that had Michael Landon in. She Loved spending
time with family and friends. She liked camping, fishing, watching the birds at the feeder outside her
kitchen window. She Loved The Packer's. Her favorite player was Gilbert Brown. (The Grave

She worked at various jobs in Michigan; till moving to Stanley and then worked at the Stanley IGA
Bakery for many years till retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, LaVern, 2 sons: Ronald, (Special Friend, Debbie) of
Brantwood, WI, Kirk (LuAnn) of Stanley, WI and 1 daughter, Sherri of Stetsonville WI. 3 grandsons
and 2 granddaughters.
She is also survived by 5 sisters; Hilda (Alex) Grendzinski of Thorp, Darlene (Ervin) Walworth of
Stetsonville, Clarice (Gene) Hakes of Cadott, Linda Couillard of Green Bay, and Rita (Kenneth)
Jasmer SR. of Withee. She is also survived by 3 brothers: Earl Berg (Barb) of Gilman, David Berg
Of Thorndike, Massachusetts, and Larry Berg of Thorp. And many nieces and nephews.
Beatrice is preceded in death by her Parents; Elmer and Hazel (Olson) Berg. Her Maternal
Grandparents, Edward and Hildur Olson and her Paternal Grandparents; Ferdinand and Clara
Berg. 1 Brother, Roger Allen Berg, died at birth. 3 nephews, and 1 niece.
A memorial service was held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 at The Plombon Funeral
Home in Stanley. Inurnment was in the Oakland Cemetery in Stanley. Rev. Daniel Welch from
Epiphany Lutheran Church officiated.
