Lucille Rosemary Hoehn, 92 of Jump River, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 2012 at Rusk
County Memorial Hospital in Ladysmith. She was born on June 8, 1919 on the family
farm to the late Michael and Anna (Wingert) Franzen. She attended the Pioneer school
in the town of McKinley and graduated from McDonell High School in Chippewa Falls.
After spending two years in the Los Angeles, CA area she married Willard Hoehn on
July 22, 1943 at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Culver City, CA Lucille was employed
at Douglas Aircraft in Santa Monica, CA and later at Douglas Aircraft when they moved
to Chicago, IL.
Lucille and Willard purchased a farm south of
Jump River. In 1980 they built a home across
from the farm. Lucille enjoyed family reunions,
making photo albums for the family and travel
with her husband. She was a member of St.
Michael’s Catholic Church and St. Michael’s guild.
Lucille is survived by her children, Victoria Burt
of Marshfield, Ann Marie (Arthur) Salek of
Thornton, CO, Kevin (Debra) Hoehn of
Bettendorf, IA, Vincent (Joyce) Hoehn of
Manitowish Waters, James (Ruth Ann Olson)
Hoehn of Jump River and Gerald (Patti) Hoehn
of Eau Claire, 11 grandchildren, nine great-
grandchildren and one sister, Eva Bromley of
Sheldon. Preceded in death by her husband,
(Nov. 17, 2007), her parents, sisters, Isabel
Schueller and Agnes Johnson and an infant
sisters and brothers, Valery, Lawrence and Cyril
Franzen.
A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 23, 2012 at St. Michael’
s Catholic Church in Jump River with Father John Long officiating. Burial will follow
at Mt. Nebo Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 until 7 p.m. at the Gilman
Funeral Home with a 7 PM parish vigil and Monday at the Church one hour prior
to services.
