Marjorie B. Tyler, age 87 of Stanley, passed away on
Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Sacred Heart Hospital, Eau
Claire. Marjorie was born August 24, 1924 in the Town of
Thorp, the daughter of the late Rudolph & Agnes
(Christenson) Lund. She was baptised and confirmed in
the Lutheran faith, and attended rural Otter Creek school,
then Lincoln School in Stanley, graduating in 1943. On
June 24, 1946 she was united in marriage to Leslie Tyler
in Stillwater, MN. The couple resided for many years in
Mundelein, IL, before returning to Stanley after her
husband passed away in 1978.

Five children were born to this union, Patricia (Neail) Hand
of Buda, TX; Brian (Linda) Tyler of San Diego, CA; David
Tyler of Greeley, CO; Michael (Ellen) Tyler of Canton, GA;
Jeanne (Ken) DeWitt of Woodville, WI; grandchildren,
Colin & Garret Hand, Jessica Tyler, Rachel Hunter,
Rebbeca King, Daniel & Joshua Tyler, Alexandra Foster,
Kristiana, Juliana & Diana Tyler, Tyler & Leslie Fregine, &
Ethan DeWitt, 8 great-grandchildren and one sister-in-law,
Mabel Foster of Eugene, OR, plus many nieces, nephews
and other relatives.   
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leslie, brothers, Robert
in 1990, & Juel in 1993, sisters, Marion Shervey & Marlene Lund, & two
nieces, Pamela Shervey & Barbara Pfeil.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, January 19, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. at
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church with Pastor Sara Semmler-Smith officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery, Stanley. Friends and family may
call on Wednesday evening from 5-7 P.M. at the Plombon Funeral Home,
Stanley and one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. In lieu of
flowers, the family requests memorials may be made to, Our Savior’s Lutheran
Church of Stanley or the Stanley Area Historical Society.
