Patrick A. Mateski, age 52, of Stanley passed away unexpectedly on
Monday, January 30, 2012. He was born January 14, 1960 in Stanley,
the son of Harry & Virginia (Fasbender) Mateski. He attended Stanley
schools and on June 5, 1982 was united in marriage to Peggy Lotz at
the Stanley United Methodist Church. When not working, Pat enjoyed
hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, and his beloved Ford, and was always
good for a “Big Buck story”. Pat loved his family and life, sharing his
skills and passion with anyone that was willing to try. He passed away
doing what he loved to do and will be missed dearly.
Pat is survived by his wife Peggy of Stanley, and their two children,
Sarah (Joe) Sokup of Stanley, Patrizia (Joe) Streit of Cadott, one
grandson, Blake Sokup, his mother, Virginia Fasbender of Stanley,
siblings, Jerome (Karen) Mateski of Sheldon; Sue (Gary) Ducommun,
Sally Goodman, Jan Mateski, Linda Goodman, Marie Mateski, Dan
Mateski, Duane (Treidon) Mateski, & Bill (Dawn) Mateski all of
Stanley, Gary (Lisa) Mateski of Boyd, mother-in-law, Imogene Lotz of
Stanley, two sister-in-laws, Paula (David) Diamond of Oak Creek and
Lisa Lotz of Reno, NV, plus numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pat is preceded in death by his father, Harry Mateski, sisters, Sandra
Fugate Daniels and Christine Hall, and father-in-law, Jerry Lotz.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, February 4, 2012 from
12-4:00 P.M. at the Plombon Funeral Chapel, Stanley, WI.
