David William Voytovich, 95, of Stanley, Wisconsin, passed
away peacefully on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Evergreen
Terrace assisted living facility in Antigo, WI surrounded by
family and friends.  Born on June 16, 1923 in the Town of
Colburn, Chippewa County to Anthony and Julia (Telisczak)
Voytovich, David lived his entire life on the family farm in the
Huron area. He married Beverly Mohr on August 1, 1959 at St.
John’s Orthodox Church in Huron.

David graduated from Stanley High School in 1941 after which
he began his life-long commitment to dairy farming and
keeping his little corner of the world as well organized and
maintained as possible.  He attended the University of
Wisconsin-Madison agricultural short course in 1949 and took
over sole operation of the farm in 1960.  He was a lifelong
member of St. John’s Russian Orthodox Church in Huron and
served many years as president and “starosta”.

Dave will be remembered in the community as a man of
singular passion who provided for his family by being the best
dairyman he could be and his farm was a testament to that
goal.  Dave played the concertina, went on a vacation (once),
enjoyed memories of dance hall days with “cronies”, and
never tired of telling stories with a twinkle in his eye.
He is survived by his caring wife of 59 years, Beverly, son
Michael (Shannon) Voytovich of Mahtomedi MN, daughter
Karen Voytovich of St. Michael, MN, son Gary (Sarah)
Voytovich of Antigo WI, daughter Barbara Voytovich of New
Brighton, MN, sister Marion Walsdorf of Stanley WI, 12
grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many loving, nieces,
nephews, in-laws, cousins, ever faithful neighbors and friends.
David is preceded in death by, his parents, sister Anna
Tyznik, brothers Nicholas, Anthony and Samuel.
