Obituary:

Loretta Sczypioroski, 85, of Stanley passed away on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at Clark County Rehab and Living Center in Owen, WI.

Lori was born on May 8th, 1939 to the late James and Estelle (Zaborowski) Ignasiak. She was raised on the family farm and grew up in rural Stanley. Lori attended White Eagle Elementary School and graduated from Stanley High School. After high school she worked at the Stanley Corporation where she met Edward Sczypioroski. They were joined in marriage in 1979 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church in rural Stanley, WI.

Lori and Ed enjoyed many years of running his family farm, in the Town of Delmar, before retiring in 2008. Lori loved the rural lifestyle, the outdoors, and caring for animals. She also enjoyed Polka music and played saxophone in a band in her younger years.

She is survived by her sister Rita Derks of Thorp, WI; nephew James (Brenda) Derks of River Falls, WI; and niece Julia Derks of Thorp, WI; great- nieces and nephews Samantha, Katina, Darin, Brooklyn, Stephanie, and Shawn Derks; and many loving family and friends. Lori is preceded in death by her parents James & Estelle, husband Edward and brother-in-law Henry Derks.

A funeral mass will be held at 11AM on Saturday, January 18th, 2025 at St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church-rural Stanley with Father Stanislaus Antony officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday, January 17 from 5-7 PM at the Plombon Funeral Home with a 7PM Rosary and Saturday morning one hour prior to services at church.
