Luverne Kroeplin

Obituary:

Luverne A. Kroeplin, 84 of Stanley, died peacefully on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at the Clark County Health Care Center. He was born on October 3, 1941 in Owatonna, Minnesota to the late William and Lorraine (Baker) Kroeplin. His family moved to the area and he graduated from Gilman High School. Luverne married Betty Mallo on June 24, 1961 at the Presbyterian Church in Hannibal.

Luverne was a factory worker during his working years and in his “retirement” he enjoyed working with the elderly.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Betty, his children, Laurie (Greg) Natzke of Stanley, Lonnie (Diane) Kroeplin of Owen, William (Jane) Kroeplin of Withee and Wendi (Kevin) Henke of Owen, 11 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, his brothers, Delano (Karen) Kroeplin, SR, Jason (Sherry) Kroeplin and Randy Kroeplin and many nieces and nephews. Luverne is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Robert, Marty, and Mark and his sisters, Leona Turner, Violet McCartney and Joyce Kroeplin in infancy.

A memorial visitation will take place from 4-7 PM on Friday, June 19th at the Faith Evangelical Free Church-Stanley. Plombon Funeral Service assisted the family with arrangements.
