Janice Winger

Obituary:

Janice E. Winger, 75 of Medford, died on Friday, September 18, 2026. She was born on February 25, 1951 at the family home near Hannibal. The daughter of the late Robert and Betty (Truax) Morris. Jan grew up in the area and attended Gilman High School. She married Jerry Winger on November 15, 1968.

She enjoyed drawing, reading and horseback riding.

Jan is survived by her daughter, Liz (John) Drager of Medford, her grandsons, Donovan and Bo Turek and Dakota Drager, a great granddaughter, Aryella Turek, and her sister, Joan (Earl) Chwala of Gilman as well as many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jerry (9-16-2026), her son, Jerry “Punky” Winger, and her brothers, Lem and Douglas in infancy.

A memorial service for Jan, Jerry, SR and Jerry “Punky” JR, will be held at Noon, on Friday, October 2nd at the Gilman Funeral Home with Rev. Beverly Thompson officiating. Inurnment will take place privately at a later date in Hannibal Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior.
