Obituary:
Archie Elliot Williams, 86 of Hannibal, entered eternal rest peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on February 13, 2026. He was born on December 1, 1939 at the family home in the town of Pershing to the late Franklin and Hazel (Mallo) Williams. Archie grew up in the area and graduated from Gilman High School. He married Shirley Meyer; they later divorced. On December 2, 2016 he married Candace Kaiser.Archie was a very versatile man; experiencing many different trades such as masonry, construction, logging, farming. He retired from the Olynick family business driving truck where he enjoyed a great comradery and lasting friendships. Archie had a great appreciation for the simple beauty of the outdoors. Whether it be logging with his draft horses or helping his close friend: Curt, family hunting with his boys or just taking in the fresh aromas of the forest. He had a passion for sports, coaching his daughters’ softball team; “The Rookies”, the Rockin K Saddle Club, attending school sport events and hosting “the Great American Shootout” a sporting clay competition in his own backyard.
His home welcomed all who knew him as he enjoyed his visits with family, friends and neighbors; especially on “the Porch.” He was a very loving husband, father, brother and friend who took his endearments to heart. His unwavering love and companionship will be greatly missed by all.
He is survived by his wife, Candace, his 5 children, Randy (Marty) Williams, Tammi (Randy) Johnson, Heidi (Kim) Rolfes, Terri (John) Walker, Cindy (Vic) Dombrowski and stepson, Trevis (Kung) Cunningham, 9 grandchildren, Alison, Megan, Heather, Damian, Chitra, Phil “Butch”, Tyler, Riley and Ung, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild and another on the way, his sister, Patricia Meyer, his former wife, Shirley Williams, and his brother in law, Denny Delvis. Archie is preceded in death by his parents, his sisters, Karen Williams and Kathleen Delvis, a grandson, Jon Grunseth, a brother in law, Jim Meyer and his faithful dog Jenni: who will rest at his side.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, March 7th at the Jump River Community Center from 11AM until 3 PM. Memorials can be sent to : N6460 State Highway 73, Gilman, WI 54433.
