Obituary:

Bryan John Huls, 69 of Stanley, died on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at Mayo-Luther Hospital in Eau Claire. He was born at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley to the late Shirley (Myhre) and Richard Huls, SR. Bryan was raised in Stanley and graduated from Stanley-Boyd High School in 1973. He went on to serve in the Navy: including 2 tours in Guam, 4 total and taking 11 years.

He returned and attended UW-Eau Claire receiving a degree in Family Psychology and continued his education through his professional development receiving 2 masters’ degrees from National University. He worked as a family therapy consultant psychologist until his recent retirement.

He is survived by his siblings, Denise (Bob) Spaeth-Dewees and Tamara (Jerry) Bauer both of Wichita, KS, Richard Huls, JR of Cadott, Debra (Mike) Burnett of Boyceville, Karen DeLong of Eau Claire, Daniel (Lisa) Huls of Cadott, David (Tammi) Huls of Appleton, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Father William Felix officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Tuesday at the Plombon Funeral Home with a 7PM rosary and one hour prior to the mass Wednesday at the funeral home. Inurnment with Military rites will take place at a later date.
