Jerry G. Winger, SR, 76 of Medford died on Wednesday, September 16, 2026. He was born on August 2, 1950 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley to the late Benjamin and Julie (Lent) Winger. Jerry grew up in the area and attended Gilman High School. He married Janice Morris on November 15, 1968. Jerry worked for Weathershield for many years.He enjoyed playing baseball, fishing, hunting, horseback riding and tinkering in the shop.
He is survived by his wife, Jan, his daughter, Liz (John) Drager of Medford, his grandsons, Donovan and Bo Turek and Dakota Drager, a great granddaughter, Aryella Turek, his siblings, Jim (Lou) Winger, Otis (Mitzi) Winger, Betty Cornell, Chuck Winger, Kenneth (Carol) Winger, Davey (Kristie) Winger and Tina (Daryl) Petznick and many nieces and nephews. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jerry “Punky” JR, and brothers, Benjamin, JR, Dick, his twin Larry and sisters, Ruth Hatton, Carla Gates and Linda Karpinski.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Gilman Funeral Home.
